The Best Veggie / Vegan Restaurants in London

A few weeks ago the lovely team behind House Trip, the online holiday rental site, got in touch to ask me for some of my top recommendations for veggie and vegan food in London. Turns out they were in the process of creating a pretty neat little interactive guide, with recommendations from bloggers and experts including PETA, Fat Gay Vegan, and little old me!

If you’ve never used House Trip before, it is essentially very similar to Air BnB, and as of June 2014, there were over 330,000 property listings on the site, making it one of the world’s largest providers of holiday rentals. Listings are divided into different categories such as a flat, apartment or house. You can also select alternative property types such as a boat or  a even castle! Who needs a hotel room when you can stay on a designer canal boat!?

As part of their aim to ensure customers have an awesome travel experience at their chosen destination, they have been working with local bloggers in key cities to compile interactive guides to some of their most popular destinations. I asked the team at House Trip, why they chose to focus on a vegan/veggie guide to London, and this is what they had to say:

“For vegetarians, it can often be quite a daunting and stressful process to find places that will cater to their needs when travelling abroad or to a new city. At House Trip, we wanted to try and offer a way of combating the issues that can often make travelling as a vegan or vegetarian difficult, such as being in an unfamiliar environment. We think that the easy to use interface, the local expert recommendations, and comprehensive directions all help to solve these problems.”

Pretty cool huh? You can check out the London interactive guide, (try using both the map view and the directory view for a really good dig around the site) – and if you’re planning a trip to Paris or Berlin soon, there’s a veggie guide on the site for those too. Enjoy!
