September’s Cardiff foodie highlights

September’s Cardiff foodie highlights

Here’s my very-late roundup of mini-reviews – some of my favourite things I ate in September, and where you can find them.

A jet-lag soothing salad from Kemi’s Cafe in Pontcanna

After 17.5 hours of flying and a long and uncomfortable drive back from Heathrow after my amazing holiday in Borneo, this was exactly what I needed when I got back to the ‘diff.

Some moving-day fuel from Brodie’s Coffee

The day after my flight landed? I moved house. Thank god for the best caffeine fix in Cardiff!

Starting the day right, at @brodies_coffee – Cardiff's most instagrammable #coffee shop (probably)! 🌳🍃🌿 #shoplocal

A bit of everything from Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen

I was so pleased to see these guys at the final weekend of the Street Food Circus. Who knew Ghanaian food was so awesome!

Filthy Feta from The Hellenic Eatery

Most of menu at this casual Cathays restaurant is a little too meat-focused for me, but this salty-sweet slab of Feta is worth the trip alone.

Yes, that is an entire block of #feta, wrapped in filo pastry, deep fried and covered in honey & sesame seeds! #Greek

Doorstop toast – on my doorstep – from Pettigrew Bakery

I promise I’m not sponsored by Pettigrew – haha! I know I rave about these guys alot,  I just really love the fact that my new house is such a short walk away from thick buttery toast, great coffee and service with a smile.
