The business has been founded by Laura Pickup, who came up with the idea after 15 years of working in the Welsh food and drink industry marketing some of Wales’ best-known brands.
Laura said, “I’ve always known that Wales is packed full of fantastic food and drink and have had the pleasure of meeting many of the makers and tasting their amazing products over the years. I always found it frustrating though, that so many of these brilliant, inspired products don’t get the exposure or sales they deserve simply because they are not listed in big supermarkets We know that people in Wales really want to support local producers, but don’t always know where to find them.”
And so, Laura made it her mission to bring Welsh food and drink to the masses, and despite being less than a month old, the DiscoverDelicious.Wales website already features hundreds of products from close to 50 producers, all of which are grown, reared or made in Wales.
I’ve been browsing the site over the last couple of days, and I’ve already got already got eye on some stocking fillers like the Bloody Mary Ketchup from Halen Mon, and the Pollination Gin from the Dyfi Distillery (which even won ‘Best UK Gin’ at the 2017 Great British Foods awards).
It’s also good to know I can order the nut roasts from The Parsnipship online – they are so good for Boxing Day feasting!
Do you think you’ll be ordering anything from DiscoverDelicious.Wales this xmas? Let me know in the comments below!

I know, would be great for corporate gifting for Welsh companies too 🙂
I’ve not heard of this. It sounds great. I always try and buy local welsh made products whenever I see them in farm shops etc so this would be ideal
