Get your totes, puffer jackets and reusable coffee mugs at the ready! There’s a new weekly farmer’s market coming to Canton.
‘Fresh & Wild’ farmer’s market will take place at The Bone Yard on Papermill Road every Sunday.
Promising a variety of independent traders offering “fresh bread, organic veg, artisan cheeses, brownies, coffee, and all the good things in life” the new market hopes to be a regular Sunday stop for Canton residents.
It gives those living a bit further from the city centre an alternative to Riverside Real Food‘s long-established weekly farmers’ market on the Fitzhammon Embankment (opposite Principality Stadium).
The Bone Yard have confirmed that their shipping container studios will also be open and trading every weekend, meaning Canton-ites will be able to shop for pot plants, quirky homewares and vintage threads as well as picking out fresh produce.
Organisers say they already have a number of producers on board, but still have some spaces left to fill.
Local producers with an ethical approach who would like to get involved are encouraged to drop the organisers a message on Facebook to find out more.
