This year’s ‘Good Food Cardiff Autumn Festival’ is focused on championing sustainable, healthy food – and encouraging Cardiff’s communities to come together to shape their local food system.
Following the success of the 2020 Festival, Food Cardiff’s ‘Good Food Cardiff Autumn Festival’ has returned with a focus on building healthy communities. With both in-person and virtual events taking place during the week of 16th – 24th October, the festival will host a series of sessions centred on nutritious food, sustainability and connecting with likeminded individuals.
Up to 150 free online training places are being made available for community groups in Wales who’d like to protect and restore nature.
‘Nabod Natur – Nature Wise’ is a programme which teaches how the natural environment works, the threats it faces, and how we can all help nature to thrive.
Wales has a vast array of brilliant independent food and drink producers, and Cywain – a Welsh Government-funded project – offers support and advice as they establish and grow their businesses. As part of their most recent campaign, they have been showcasing some of the healthier products made here in Wales, and to celebrate, the lovely people behind the products have also agreed to offer a little late summer discount.
A new ‘Sunday Brunch Social’ is coming to Canton’s popular Fresh & Wild farmer’s market. Starting from Sunday 18th July, the new ‘Sunday Brunch Social’ will see extra seating areas, hot food traders and ‘brunch specials’ added to the thriving market, to encourage visitors to linger and catch up with friends over a drink and a bite to eat.
