You may or may not have noticed that dairy farmers have been getting a lot of attention in the press this week, as for the first time ever, the price of milk per litre has outrageously fallen below the price of bottled water.

Last weekend I had the most indulgent and festive of Saturdays. Usually, that sentence would indicate that I had spent the day stuffing my face with rich food and drink, and perhaps getting a bit (lot) drunk. Although that is definitely one of my favourite past-times, this particular Saturday was indulgent in a totally different way; I spent the whole day baking and practicing yoga!

They’ve won a Compassion in World Farming ‘Good Chicken’ award for sourcing from ‘enriched’ farms with greater respect for animal welfare, an Observer Food Monthly Award for Best Cheap Eat in the UK, and the Sustainable Restaurant Group of the Year in 2012 and 2013. And now, they’re here in Cardiff!

I’m amazed that there are still people in Cardiff who have never been to Milgi’s in Roath. If this was a non-veggie restaurant, I genuinely don’t think that would be the case. Well, I’m here to plead their case yet again, as despite the fact that we’ve had loads of exciting new places opening up in Cardiff over the last few months, this is still one of my favourite places to eat.
