They’ve won a Compassion in World Farming ‘Good Chicken’ award for sourcing from ‘enriched’ farms with greater respect for animal welfare, an Observer Food Monthly Award for Best Cheap Eat in the UK, and the Sustainable Restaurant Group of the Year in 2012 and 2013. And now, they’re here in Cardiff!

I’m amazed that there are still people in Cardiff who have never been to Milgi’s in Roath. If this was a non-veggie restaurant, I genuinely don’t think that would be the case. Well, I’m here to plead their case yet again, as despite the fact that we’ve had loads of exciting new places opening up in Cardiff over the last few months, this is still one of my favourite places to eat.

The Victoria is the kind of place I would love to have as my local – plenty of craft beer on tap, decent grub, and stacks of character. With plans afoot to install a cinema room in the basement in early 2015, this rabbit-hole of a boozer is destined to get even better.
