Recipe: Rich Vegetarian Ragu with Quorn

As I’m sure most readers will know by now, I’m not vegetarian, but I often use this blog to champion the approach of eating “less and better” meat. One of the ways we do this in our house is to eat plant based ‘meat alternatives’ fairly often – and as we always have onions, carrots and mushrooms sitting in our fridge (and fresh thyme growing in our garden), this rich and tasty veggie ragu is one of our household favourites. Take a Virtual Tour of Cardiff’s ‘Living Salad Circle’

Cardiff Salad Garden has revealed a new, 6-metre, ‘living salad circle’ in the middle of the city. Nestled in the heart of Cardiff’s Bute Park, the structure will be open until June 8th, and will welcome more than 150 participants to workshops where they can learn more about planting, growing, harvesting and cooking salad leaves. The project is part of wider work to test innovative approaches, and to further develop initiatives which bring people from different generations and backgrounds together through food.
