The St Davids Hotel in Cardiff Bay recently relaunched its in-house restaurant, revealing a cool, new colour scheme of whites, greys and light woods, and a menu inspired by the cuisines of Australasia and the Asia-Pacific. It may be on the pricey side, but a Friday night visit did a great job of convincing me that it is well worth forking out for.

The Shangri La London certainly isn’t budget-friendly, it’s not eco-friendly and it isn’t somewhere you might stay if you were looking to reconnect with nature. That being said, it is an experience I’ll never ever forget, and so for that reason, I just had to write it up.
